The survey shows that the world's 43 cities, Nairobi construction costs is the lowest

 

A report shows that Nairobi has the lowest cost of construction among the 43 cities surveyed, the average cost per square meter construction is 683.49 US dollars, from low to high ranked two to five is Bangalore (697.43 US dollars / square meter), Beijing (724.64 US dollars / square meter), Warsaw (782.05 USD / square meter), Dar es Salaam ($ 803.52 / sq m). The highest cost of construction in Africa is Kigali (1117.12 US dollars / square meter), Kampala (1058.99 US dollars / square meter) and Johannesburg (848.30 US dollars / square meter) followed.

 

Global ranking, the highest cost of construction is in New York, to 3807 US dollars / square meter; ranking two & three are San Francisco (3549 US dollars / square meter) & Zurich (3528 US dollars / square meter).

 

The report predicts that the size of the construction industry in East Africa will expand by $ 3 billion over the next six years, and global construction costs will grow by 3.5 percent in 2017, slightly below the 3.7 percent growth in 2016.
