Speed and Speed Ratio of Rock Crusher’s Rollers
The quicker the line speed of the roller, the more the materials can pass the rollers in unit time, and the processing capability of the rock crusher will be improved accordingly. If the feed flow of the material is not changed but the line speed of the roller is increased, the flow layer of the material which goes through the crushing zone will get thinner, and the crushing effect of the rock crusher will be improved.

However, too fast of the speed of the rock crushers roller will make the machine vibrate, increase the wear rate of the teeth, make the bearing heating and over high of the roller temperature. Hence, the speed of the roller must be suitable.

If the two rollers of the small rock crushers rotate in the same speed, they can only play a role in squeeze. The crushing effect of the crushers mainly depends on the relative movement of the two rollers and their speed difference. Hence, the speed of the two rollers is different. The proportion of high speed roller and low speed roller is speed ratio. The bigger the speed ratio, the longer the crushing zone will be and the crushing effect will be strong. At present, the speed ratio of the rock crushers is 2.5:1.
