Repair of Rotor and Collocation of Flat Hammer of Impact Crusher

In the last article, our engineer has analysis the reasons for abrasion of impact crusher’s rotor and flat Hammer. Here we would like to go on talked about how to repair the abraded part of impact crusher’s rotor.   

① Repair welding on the abraded part of the equally divided rotor’s first section by manual arc welder.
② Weld the rotor until it recover to original design dimension, and then stop welding and rub down the rotor’s surface which will touch with the flat hammer by hand grinder.
③ In the light of static balance test, observe the balance situation of the rotor. If it is still unbalance, go on welding on the former position to increase the weight of rotor till it is balanced.
④ Weld the other sections of the rotor based on the above steps.
⑤ Collocate and install the flat hammer which have similar or same weight on the well-repaired rotor to ensure the balance of the impact crusher’s rotor.

3) Maintenance point of Impact crusher’s rotor
① Do regularly inspect the abrasion situation of the flat hammers, impact plate, guard plate and rotor, and change or repair the abraded parts. Tighten the connecting screws to avoid dropping.
② Pay attention to the raw material to see whether there are metal things. If there is any abnormal sound, stop the impact crusher and check it immediately.

③ Do feed material evenly to avoid the blocking. Do not feed materials which are bigger than the specified size.
④ Do not open the service door until the impact crusher completely stops.
⑤ After adjust the crushing clearance of the impact crusher, do rotate the rotor to see whether the clearance is too small to avoid the damage of rotor and impact plate. Tighten the screws of the impact plate after the adjustment.
⑥  After overhaul of the impact crusher or repair of the rotor, do ensure that the rotor can rotate flexible and evenly. The impact plate shall be exchanged at the same time; otherwise, the unbalanced rotor will cause the vibration of the impact crusher.
